2023 Board Nominees

Here are the bios for our 2023 board nominees, listed in alphabetical order. Voting will take place at the year-end meeting on December 5.

Stella Grey

My husband and I have lived in the area since 2003. Most of that time I was working full-time as an engineer and a project manager for a multi-national engineering consulting firm in the construction industry and did not have a chance to enjoy my neighborhood.

When I finally retired several years ago, I realized that the neighborhood was getting less enjoyable every day because of increased traffic, noise, dust and dirt caused by an unprecedented rate of construction in the Bird Streets.

It happened to be a perfect time for me to get involved with what soon became DSPNA, and I began serving as one of the founding Board members from its inception up to the present.

I currently participate on a daily basis in various initiatives and projects carried by the Association and serve on its PLU committee. I am also a member of the PLU committee and a chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on LADBS Policies at the Bel Air Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council. I am fully committing my time and my heart to bettering our neighborhood and to increasing the Association's recognition beyond our boundaries.

I would appreciate your consideration and hope that you vote for me to continue my service to our community as a member of the Board

Mitchell Guzik

I am currently a member of the DSPNA Board of Directors and have agreed to serve for another two-year term.

I am a native of Los Angeles and we have lived on Viewmont Drive since 1989.  I raised 5 children here who all attended the LAUSD. I believe in a strong sense of community and I am not afraid to challenge the consensus.  Our city needs to be more responsive to the needs of the tax-payers and help restore a safer environment that used to exist here.  I want to help do that. I am a local manufacturer and I employ 40 people at the company I run.  I feel the DSPNA will continue to make positive changes on our community.

AARON KAMIN

I have proudly served my first year as a member of the DSPNA Board of Directors, and am looking forward to another term.

I sought an active role with DSPNA because of the increasing crime, the unending and pernicious development, and the irresponsible and objectionable homeowners, renters, and party houses, degrading our community.

There is much to be done, to reinforce and build upon the Association’s past successes, and defend the safety, serenity, and stability we all seek living here.

I am on the Engagement Committee and the Security Committee, and want to help DSPNA continue to advocate and strengthen. As an Association, we should continue to pursue greater recognition and become a more prominent voice in local government.

I am native Los Angeleno and have lived on North Kings Road since 2003. You can often see me walking the neighborhood with my wife, our daughter, and our bulldog Tonka. I am a Songwriter and Music Producer, and concurrently a Managing Partner of Skyhouse Capital, a family California Registered Investment Advisory Firm.

Vadim Levotman

Oksana and I have lived in the Bird Streets neighborhood for nearly a decade. We love it here. Over the years, quality of life slowly decreased, meanwhile out-of-control construction and crime increased. I had to get involved in the community.

Currently, I am serving on DSPNA board of directors. As a co-chair of the Security Committee, I spearheaded an establishment of a DSNPA Security Patrol program. As a co-chair Security Patrol Oversight Committee, I monitor and update security patrol protocols. As a Public Safety liaison to Bel Air-Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council, I am regularly in contact with LAPD Hollywood Division personnel.

As a CPA, I currently serve as your DSPNA treasurer. With our complex nonprofit accounting, I developed a unique accounting system that is very transparent and complies with regulatory statutes, which I carefully monitor.

There is a lot more work to be done. I am eager to serve our neighborhood in the same capacity for the next two years.

Sherry Taylor

I am a native Angelino who moved to the Bird Streets in 2018 from the Sunset Plaza area.  I have 20 years of experience working in various industries: e-commerce, entertainment, and now healthcare, as a startup founder and corporate executive. I specialize in unlocking new capabilities that bring positive, disruptive change. My passion for studying ecosystems (people, technology, nature) helps identify “win-win” opportunities with the greatest impact while benefitting the whole.

My favorite pastimes are tending to my food garden and wildlife habitat, playing soccer, bird watching, and raising Monarch butterflies. I love to share my bounty and trade produce with neighbors. We are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful area integrated with nature.

As an active DSPNA member, I currently serve on the Outreach Committee. I have had the pleasure of collaborating on our logo & branding, building and maintaining the website, launching the security patrol program, and volunteering towards various DSPNA initiatives that improve the sanctity and serenity of our neighborhood.

LANCE C. WILLIAMS

Lance C. Williams and his husband have been residents of the neighborhood for eight years, and they are passionate about supporting the mission of the DSPNA. Lance has been involved in the Engagement Committee, events and security programs. Lance has over twenty years of strategic marketing, communications and philanthropic experience. After attending New York University, he was part of the team that launched the hit musical MAMMA MIA! in North America. From 2006 - 2014, Lance was the Executive Director of Brand Development at Condé Nast Traveler magazine, responsible for promoting the brand internationally through events, conferences and charity partnerships. Since 2002, Lance has served on the board of directors of the Fred B. Snite Foundation as a Vice President. In 2012, Lance co-founded The LanMar Fund, a charitable fund that supports awareness, research and action in the field of wildlife conservation, and he is the Senior Communications Advisor for The Lion Recovery Fund. Lance has also served on the boards of the Raymond M. Alf Museum and The Webb Schools.
