2025 Board Nominees

Here are the bios for our 2025 board nominees. Voting will take place at the year-end meeting on December 9.

Stella Grey

My husband and I have lived in the area since 2003. Most of that time I was working full-time as an engineer and a project manager for a multi-national engineering consulting firm in the construction industry and did not have a chance to enjoy my neighborhood.

When I finally retired several years ago, I realized that the neighborhood was getting less enjoyable every day because of increased traffic, noise, dust and dirt caused by an unprecedented rate of construction in the Bird Streets.

It happened to be a perfect time for me to get involved with what soon became DSPNA, and I began serving as one of the founding Board members from its inception up to the present.

I currently participate on a daily basis in various initiatives and projects carried by the Association and serve on its PLU committee. I am also a member of the PLU committee and a chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on LADBS Policies at the Bel Air Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council. I am fully committing my time and my heart to bettering our neighborhood and to increasing the Association's recognition beyond our boundaries.

I would appreciate your consideration and hope that you vote for me to continue my service to our community as a member of the Board.

Aaron Kamin

I have proudly served my first year as a member of the DSPNA Board of Directors, and am looking forward to another term.

I sought an active role with DSPNA because of the increasing crime, the unending and pernicious development, and the irresponsible and objectionable homeowners, renters, and party houses, degrading our community.

There is much to be done, to reinforce and build upon the Association’s past successes, and defend the safety, serenity, and stability we all seek living here.

I am on the Engagement Committee and the Security Committee, and want to help DSPNA continue to advocate and strengthen. As an Association, we should continue to pursue greater recognition and become a more prominent voice in local government.

I am native Los Angeleno and have lived on North Kings Road since 2003. You can often see me walking the neighborhood with my wife, our daughter, and our bulldog Tonka. I am a Songwriter and Music Producer, and concurrently a Managing Partner of Skyhouse Capital, a family California Registered Investment Advisory Firm.

Vadim Levotman

Oksana and I have been proud residents of the Bird Streets neighborhood for over a decade. We love this community deeply. However, over the years, we’ve seen a gradual decline in quality of life, marked by rising crime and unchecked, disruptive construction. This prompted me to get involved and work toward meaningful change.

Since 2019, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Treasurer and Chair of the Security Committee for the DSPNA. During my tenure, we successfully implemented a private security patrol and license plate recognition cameras, which have significantly enhanced neighborhood safety. I also maintain regular communication with the LAPD Hollywood Division to address community concerns and strengthen security initiatives.

As a CPA, I designed and oversee the nonprofit’s comprehensive and transparent accounting system, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. I actively monitor our finances to uphold the organization’s integrity and accountability.

While we’ve made great strides, there is still much more to do. I am dedicated to continuing this work and am eager to serve our neighborhood with the same commitment over the next two years. Together, we can protect and enhance the community we call home.

James Murray

From May of 2017 to the present, I have served as a board member for DSPNA.In addition, I currently serve as DSPNA’s Controller, a member of DSPNA’s PLUM Committee, and our Neighborhood Council’s ad hoc Home Sharing and Party House Enforcement Committee.

I have lived on Franklin Avenue for the past 45 years. I love our neighborhood and can think of nowhere else I’d rather be. It is what motivates me to do everything within my ability to protect and preserve it.

My prior background of providing accounting services to several Los Angeles area nonprofits makes it a natural fit for me to serve as both board member and controller.

Because I have the time, desire and prerequisite skills, I feel that I am well suited to serve again on the board of DSPNA.

Sherry Taylor

I am a native Angeleno who moved to the Bird Streets in 2018 from the Sunset Plaza area. Professionally, I have over 20 years of experience innovating across industries including e-commerce, entertainment, healthcare, and renewable energy, as both a startup founder and corporate executive. My current role is Head of Operations at a renewable energy startup. We simplify how commercial real estate owners and corporations evaluate and source clean energy in the fastest, most cost-efficient way.

In my free time, I enjoy fitness training, tending to my wildlife and food garden, playing soccer, bird watching, and traveling. Sharing my garden’s bounty and trading produce with neighbors is one of my favorite ways to connect with our vibrant community. Living in such a beautiful area, seamlessly integrated with nature, is a privilege I deeply cherish.

As an active DSPNA member, I have had the honor of supporting various initiatives that enhance our neighborhood’s security and serenity. Beyond volunteering for DSPNA programs, I have collaborated on our logo and branding, help launch the security patrol program, and built and now maintain the backend systems that power our website, financial operations, and marketing communications.
